I was born and raised in East Tennessee, currently residing in Knoxville. I graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1989 and worked in retail and outside sales for 15 years. Feeling like my creative side had been ignored long enough I began working with stained glass. I still love to build and design stained glass.
I explored different mediums, discovering handcrafting jewelry in the process. I presently work with PMC-precious metal clay. I completed the Rio Grande PMC Certification class in September 2009. Having gone through that course, my current techniques have improved and I discovered new skills. I have confidence the culmination of what I learned through certification will lead me in different exciting directions.
In the design phase, my vision is to produce a custom piece of jewelry that projects a unique artisan quality at an affordable price. I like to draw from the beauty of nature East Tennessee provides in abundance as I create original designs. Incorporating natural elements with semi-precious stones, fine silver, sterling silver, gold and bronze offer unlimited combinations.
I aspire to offer innovation, functionality and fun to wear jewelry in my collections. I frequently look for ideas and techniques in the jewelry making procedure to build and grow as an artist and the opportunity to offer you the most unique, one-of-a-kind piece possible. Though each piece contains a part of my heart and soul, the most gratifying times for me are when you are also touched by the inspiration and that piece becomes dear to your heart.
